The Fricks had the Fragonard Room rebuilt in the early 20^th century to complement the artist’s Progress of Love series. Jean-Honore Fragonard (1732-1806) was a prolific French painter of the late Rococo period who painted these works for the music pavilion on Madame du Barry’s property (du Barry was the last mistress of Louis XV). Visitors will now have the rare treat of enjoying the collection in its entirety, even if the former ambience is absent.

Tripoli Gallery (Wainscott, New York) is currently presenting this year’s artist-in-resident, Angelbert Metoyer, and his solo exhibition, Magnificent Change. The performance of Magnificent Change will be a living symbolic garden and installation from April 3rd to May 24^th. The completed exhibition will remain on view until May 3rd, 2021. The residency and exhibition will lead up to the release of two new works for a contemporary auction in June at Sotheby’s.
